Foxlease Christmas Lunch

First, one on the nice's Christmas lunches we have had for a while.
The venue was nice and welcoming with a small bar, quite well stocked and
very reasonable prices, also two lounge areas with warm comfortable
seating. There was no rush to have us seated for lunch and when we were
called to the table every thing was set and ready to go. The service was a
little slow to start but the food was well presented,  hot were required and
very tasty. The staff were obliging when asked and fulfilled requests where
possible. After lunch, tea, coffee and mince pies were served in the lounge
areas with ample supplies. I believe the food it's self lived up to most of our
company's expectations. I do not think any one on our table could find
 cause for complaint.
As you can see I didn't get much in the way of pictures I was to interested
in the company I was keeping and really didn't feel like running round disturbing
people. Also at dinner people seemed more interested in the food than having their  picture taken. So I didn't take any. Mind you had to do some thing so I took pictures of the Debris left behind by the dinners. If nothing else this confirms by belief that the food was ok.

Oct Lunch at the Fountain

Not a bad gathering about twenty four if I counted right but they kept moving about and in the end I gave up. All was well, quite a cosy setting and the food was acceptable. I can only comment on the carvery as it was all I saw, the veg' was fresh, nicely cooked, with a good variety and plenty of it. The yorkshires soft and tasty...makes a change...The meats Beef, Turkey, and Gammon needed good teeth but once again acceptable. The price very good by today's standards £ 7. 95 , for all one could eat. I came away feeling rather full and for once pleased with the price.

June Brockenhurst

"Opinions from my table" Brockenhurst Collage Lunch 2018

[1] Most of us thought the food had lost it's edge [flair] the little embellishments were missing.
[2] This was also thought about the table "no napkins" thin paper serviettes instead
[3] price has risen but not the service.
Even so it was a good gathering and was still enjoyed the students did their best and was good to see young people trying to please. I am pretty sure we will see another full house next year.

March lunch Turf Cutters Arms

Lunch not too bad think they made the effort to keep the dishes fresh. Prices on the steep side but all considered not that bad. Real old forest pub, wood and flagstone floor. All that was missing was the saw dust!
